Iranian Hulk set to join the fight against ISIL forces

Sajad Gharibi

An Iranian bodybuilder nicknamed the 'Iranian Hulk" will take to the battlefield as a volunteer soldier to fight ISIL.
Weighing 175kg with a body similar to the Marvel superhero, Sajad Gharibi has surprised his 100,000 social media followers by announcing his plans to join Iranian forces fighting ISIL extremists occupying Syria.
Also known as "The Persian Hercules", the 24-year-old's brutal fitness regime incorporates lifting up to 175kgs of weight. Owing much of his size to "genetics," Gharibi has reportedly had to deny ongoing rumours he is the notorious executioner for the Islamic State known as "The Bulldozer".
While little is known about Gharibi, putting an end to the terrorist organisation's regime in war-torn Syria is something close to his heart, BBC reports.
