Indian railway stations are the symbolic and one of the most prominent landmark for people of India.The Indian Railways has one of the busiest railway networks in the world carrying 30 million passengers and 2.8 million tonnes of freight everyday.

 

There are quite a few railway stations in India which are architecture marvels.

1. Barog

Barog Railway Station is located immediately after the tunnel. The Barog Tunnel is the most linear tunnel in the world. HolidayIQ Traveller Prosenjit Sarkar says, "The train stopped at Barog station for 30 minutes. The station was very beautiful. 2. Char Bagh, Lucknow

The Char Bagh Railway Station in Lucknow is among the most beautifully built stations in India. The ‘char bagh’ refers to the four gardens, which existed here earlier. The railway station actually looks like a palace with towers and clusters of circular Awadhi domes.

3. Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai

A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus is architecturally one of the most remarkable railway stations in the world.
