8 Places In Mumbai That You Will Head To If You Are A Street Food Lover

Passion for food has made me eat out in fancy restaurants, coffee shops and the very new boutique restaurants. But to this day, street food remains my favorite indulgence!
15 months in Mumbai, and I have been to almost all the Khau gallis ( Street Food lane, as called in Marathi) here, exploring the best of street foods in this beautiful city. In this article, I bring to you my personal best of the lot! Take a look. 

1. Pav Bhaji At Sardar’s

While the finger-licking favorite Indian snack is served in almost all the streets of Mumbai and the rest of India, Sardar is my personal favorite.
Hoards of hungry Mumbaikars crowd this eatery every day, which is a five-minute walk from the Mumbai Central Station. While your arteries will tighten at the sight, but your stomach will thank you for sure.
What's so different about this place? The bhaji is generously garnished with oodles of creamy butter and so is the Pav! Mouth watering.
Tip: Squeeze some lemon on your bhaji at the top, and dig in with your fingers!

2. Vada Pav At Anand’s

Also known as the poor man’s burger, this batata vada sandwiched between two slices of a pav is a very popular snack,indigenous to Mumbai. There are more than 50,000 vada pav stalls in Mumbai, but the one stand out food joint is undoubtedly Anand Vada Pav.The crispy vada, soft pav, and to top it off, the spicy garlic chutney makes for a quick and tasty snack! An attraction for the street food lovers in Mumbai since the last 20 years, Gurukripa at Sion has a host of delicacies to offer. But I will have to pick out my favourite: Samosa Ragda. While street food is famous all across India, Mumbai is the only city which finds its expression on the streets. There are thousands of families here, who survive on the vada pavs,the sev puris and the samosa choles. It is for this reason that after the Bollywood celebs, it is its delicious street food through which our financial capital gains popularity & recognition.
