ISRO Breaks Barriers Again, Launches Eight Satellites Into Two Different Orbits For The First Time

India Space Research Organisation has once again conquered unfamiliar territory by launching eight different payloads from PSLV-35 to different orbits for the first time. The satellite included SCATSAT-1, for weather studies, PRATHAM from IIT and PISAT from PES University in Bengaluru.

Moment of immense joy & pride for India. Congratulations to@isro on successful launch of PSLV-C35/SCATSAT-1 & 7 co-passenger satellites.
"This is a challenging two-in-one mission which puts India in a unique league of nations having the capability to achieve two different orbits in a single mission," said Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman AS Kiran Kumar.
While SCATSAT will help India in ocean and weather forecasts, cyclone detection and tracking, PRATHAM will help in the study of the total electron count in space.

This mission was also critical in other ways because ISRO’s multiple burn capability was tested for the first time, while travelling at a speed of more than 2660kmph. “It will open up new vistas to commercialise ISRO's launch capabilities for two-orbit configurations," said Dr K Sivan, Director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center.
