 Reason behind Sri Lankan players wearing mask in 3rd Test revealed

Are you watching the 3rd Test between India and Sri Lanka at Delhi? Did you notice the Sri Lankan players playing the game by wearing a mask? The reason behind it is that the players of Island are unfamiliar with the smog conditions thus being affected by it.


It is a known fact that the capital city of India, Delhi is currently facing the problem with smog due to the pollution in the city. Many measures have been taken by the Indian government to eradicate the issue but unfortunately, it once again makes a way into the city thus making the conditions unfavourable for Sri Lanka.

Coming to the series, it is safe to say that Indian are currently in the driver’s seat of the game. India continued their barrage over Sri Lanka on the second day. Led by skipper Virat Kohli on Day 2 India declared their inning at 536/7. Virat Kohli is at his top-notch form and scored sixth double century (243) in his career and becomes the top scorer at Kotla and highest score by an Indian captain.


Earlier in the Test match, On Day one Islanders were successful in managing to scalp Shikhar Dhawan and Cheteshwar Pujara cheaply, Murali Vijay and Virat Kohli stood firmly making Lankans to chase the leather often than not.


Lahiru Gamage and Dilruwan Perera are the picks of the bowlers for the Islanders in the first two sessions before Sandakan striking lately. Perera scalped Dhawan to become quickest Sri Lankan to scalp 100 wickets while Gamage dismissed Cheteshwar Pujara by drawing a superb plan to get him into the trap. Sandakan sent Vijay and Rahane by outfoxing them with his unusual action.


However, the game is nice poised for yet another series win for India, meanwhile, one may never know with the game of cricket, especially with Sri Lankans who have a great record of making a comeback into the match.
