Sakshi Malik has become a household name already and let's blame this recent glory on her sheer excellence. Her incredible journey from Rohtak to Rio becomes all the more interesting when we hear about all the hardships and struggles she’s been through.
Malik became the first Indian to win a medal at the ongoing Rio 2016 Olympics. Since then, several government organisations have come forward in felicitating and congratulating her.
On Friday, in a letter addressed to Malik, Managing
Director of Air India, Mr Ashwani Lohani, offered her a dreamy gift.
Recently, Mailk’s comment of dreaming about travelling in an aeroplane
went viral. Keeping that in mind, Air India gifted her two business
class round trips to two destinations of her choice, anywhere in the
world.

In the letter, Lohani wrote that “I recently read your statement…and was indeed touched by the same”.
She has now joined the like of Mary Kom, Karman
Malleswari and Saina Nehwal to be part of a glorious list of women who
have earned brilliance for the country. She’s likely to be conferred
with country’s highest sporting honour – the “Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna”
as per the policy decision made by the government
