Salman Khan’s Sultan box office collections on day 3 gigantic, Rs 100-crore biz predicted

Sultan Salman Khan has proved that he is Bollywood’s numero uno when it comes to ruling the box office. Sultan’s Day 3 BO collections are expected to be stupendous, despite it being a working day. The Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma movie has already earned Rs 73.7 crore in two days and with theatres reporting 80% occupancy on Friday, the Rs 100 crore club may soon have a new member. (
The film made Rs 36.54 on opening day and followed it up with Rs 37.2 crore on Eid holiday on Thursday.
With the next two days being the weekend, the film is likely to improve its box office collections. Trade analysts predict that this weekend, the movie will make anything beyond Rs 150 crore. Salman’s Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Shah Rukh’s Happy New Year and Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 are the other big films which made Rs 100 crore in three days.
should comfortably cross ₹ 100 cr on Fri [Day 3], IF it maintains the same momentum... Sat + Sun biz should add to the HUGE total.

Trade expert Taran Adarsh said on Friday that both single screens and multiplexes are giving great response to the wrestling drama. “Sultan should comfortably cross Rs 100 crore on Friday,” he tweeted, adding, “If it maintains the same momentum… Sat + Sun biz should add to the HUGE total.”
The film is riding high on positive word of mouth as well as good reviews. The film will compete with SRK’s record of Rs 108.8 crore (Happy New Year).

For a mid-week release, Sultan’s collections at Rs 36.54 crore on day one were huge. The fact that this is the money the film made on a day which was not even Eid (the festival was shifted to July 7) is even more exemplary. Prior to this, the star’s Ek Tha Tiger held the record for mid-week release with over Rs 32 crore in ticket sales. It seems all Sultan needs to do now is to keep its focus on the big number. And hope for audience’s love.
