Many believe star Indian batsman Virat Kohli can take place of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan is also among the cricket expert who have become fan of spectacular performance of Virat Kohli. Imran Khan is not only an admirer of Virat Kohli, but he also thinks that the Indian test team skipper can play better than Sachin Tendulkar in tight situations.

Imran Khan said that the versatility Virat Kohli’s batting makes him a better batsman than Sachin Tendulkar. Speaking with Hindustan Times , former Pakistan captain said,”Cricket has had eras. In the eighties, it was Viv Richards, and then you had Brian Lara and Sachin Tendulkar who stood out. Virat Kohli is one of the most complete players I’ve seen. He’s so versatile; he plays on both feet, and on all sides of the field.”

Talking about the exceptional batting talent of Virat Kohli, Imran Khan said that his ability to play in tough situations proves he is better than Sachin Tendulkar. “Apart from his talent and technique, he has a very good temperament. His temperament is better than Sachin’s. Kohli performs at the most difficult of opportunities, which Sachin sometimes wasn’t able to,” Khan said.

Imran Khan, who was in Kolkata to watch a World T20 match between India and Pakistan in March, praised Virat Kohli and said that he is the best international batsman today. Khan applauded Kohli’s performance during the India, Pakistan match. “It was very painful watching Pakistan lose, but Kohli played a very good game. I look at batsmen from a bowler’s point of view and I think of how to get them out. Just look at how Kohli plays in difficult situations. He’s better than anyone. I’d say he’s the best , today. You can back him to play any match, said Khan.

Virat Kohli has become a run machine for team India. With every match, Kohli’s batting skills are just getting better and better. in recently concluded IPL 2016, Kohli amassed 943 runs for Royal Challengers Bangalore, which included record four centuries. He played some of the most impressive innings in knock-out matched and brought his team in the final of the tournament.
