After all the fuss our censor board creates over kissing in movies, turns out, the kissing isn’t real at all!

There have been times when the steamy kisses in Indian movies have sent the moral police into a tizzy with them demanding the scenes be removed or even cut from movies. Recently, the latest Bond movie in the country too faced the flak of critics after kissing scenes in the movie were termed too steamy and there were certification issues with the movie! We are so used to 2 flowers being used to depict kissing scenes in Indian movies or perhaps bees are used that we never really think about when the scenes are shown – how might have they been actually shot? Would it have been awkward for actors? What about things like comfort level and bad breath? Hmm?


But then clearly, all romantic notions we had of kissing in movies are about to be completely butchered! If you thought the actors had a thing or two going on while steaming it up, you thought so wrong. Obviously, the actors need to be professional and even during intimate scenes there’s a room full of people surrounding them and directing them, there’s still some doubt as to how do they keep the feeling separate from their work. But then, turns out, the kisses you see aren’t real at all! They’re just as choreographed as everything else.


What’s more, the way these kisses are done, it’s not sexy but downright funny!Ok, we admit, this scene isn’t from a Bollywood movie but a movie down South. But then, do you think that the cinema would be really very different in both places? Yes, we do have French kisses too and we do wonder how they are done in the industry… Hmmm. Oh, and if it is this easy and (this funny), why all the fuss over no kissing clauses? Just do it the, umm, Tollywood way, and be done with it! Psst. Watch this video at your own risk! You might suddenly burst into laughter in the middle of a kiss the next time!
