List of Five Bollywood beauties who died at a very young age

Bollywood has been fortunate to have so many beautiful and talented heroines. Most of them captured our hearts not only through their beauty but also through their great acting talent. However, some of those heroines, unfortunately, died at a young age which cost Bollywood. They would have certainly reached greater heights if not for their untimely death.


Here are the 5 prominent heroines who passed away at a young age:

Sridevi:

Sridevi is often called the first lady Superstar of India. The legendary actress passed away on 24th Feb 2018. She was gracious and charming even at the age of 54.


She reportedly died of a massive heart attack in a hotel in Dubai after attending a wedding of her family member. Later a forensic report suggested that she died of accidental drowning. The actress is often considered as the real icon of woman power in the industry.

Jiah Khan:

Jiah Khan made headlines with her debut film ‘Nishabd'(2007) in which she shared screen space with megastar Amitabh Bachchan. The film was directed by noted filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. She was only 19 at that time.


The actress also played an important role in ‘Ghajini’ beside Aamir Khan. She last appeared in ‘Houseful’ in 2010. Jiah committed suicide at a tender age of 25 in 2013. The rumour surrounding her death was that she was in love with Sooraj Pancholi who ditched her.

Divya Bharti:

Divya Bharti was a young actress who made her debut in the South. She later appeared in many hit Bollywood films and was considered by many as the ‘next Sridevi’. However, the actress shook the nation as she fell from the balcony of her apartment in Versova on 5 April 1993. She was only 19 at the time of her death and was apparently in a relationship with filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala.

Pratyusha Banerjee:

Bengali actress Pratyusha Banerjee played the famous role of ‘Anandi’ in the popular serial ‘Balika Vadhu.’ The actress was just 24 years old when she was found in her apartment. It was later found that the actress had committed suicide. However, the reason for her suicide is still unknown.

Soundarya:

Soundarya was a beautiful South Indian actress who mainly worked in Telugu cinema besides Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Bollywood films. The actress is popular among Bollywood fans through her role in Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Sooryavansham.’ Soundarya died at the age of 31 in a helicopter accident in 2004 near Bangalore while she was going to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party.
