Rohit Sharma-led team India bundled out Sri Lanka for mere 215 runs in the third ODI of the three-match series at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam on 17 December.

Team India invited the Sri Lankan team to bat after winning the toss. During the match, wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni once again proved with his special sense why he has a special place in Team India.

Indeed, Upul Tharanga could not be survived by Dhoni's falcon in the match and the stump was declared out. With which Tharanga missed his hundred in the deciding match.

Earlier India won the toss and elected to field in Visakhapatnam in the series decider against Sri Lanka on Sunday. The three-match series is tied 1-1 and any team which wins the third ODI will win the series. India tasted early success when Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Gunathilaka in the fourth over of the game but since then, Upul Tharanga and Sadeera took Indian bowlers to the cleaners. Tharanga has raced to his half-century off just 36 balls while Sadeera has struggled slightly with the bat.

But the momentum shifted after spinners come into the attack. Tharanga missed out on his 16th ODI century as he became a victim to Kuldeep Yadav for 95. Kuldeep also got the wicket of Niroshan Dickwella in the same over. He and Yuzvendra Chahal turned on the heat in Vizag as the duo took 3 wickets each. Hardik Pandya, who gave away a few runs in the first spell, returned in the final few overs and took 2 wickets for himself. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took the down the last bit of Sri Lanka’s resistance and the visitors were all out for 215. India needs 216 to win their 8th consecutive ODI series.
