9 Secret Places Around The World That You're Not Allowed To Visit

 

For millennials, the goals are so much simpler - learn a skill, earn good, travel the world. That's it! Exploring new places is something that most of us desire. And for many, it's the constant source of motivation. 


 However, even for people with defined travel goals, there are some places where even they can't visit. Not even with their Master Cards or Visas. While many of these places are top secret HQs, there is also a secret underground train network that exists too, also some haunted ones here and there. No big deal!

#1 Area 51 (USA)



Acquired by the United States Air Force in 1955, Area 51 has been a frequent subject of conspiracy theories and a central component to unidentified flying objects as the area has been declared 'restricted' by the US government. The base most likely supports the development and testing of experimental aircraft and weapons systems but various claims of UFOs sightings have often made it a subject of curiosity, leading to many people believe that Area 51 is also a research center for the aliens.

#2 Metro-2 (Russia)



A secret underground railway system that runs parallel to the Moscow Metro is said to connect major cities of Russia with the Federal Security Service (FSB) headquarters, the government airports and an underground town at Ramenki, in addition to other locations of national importance. Its presence is neither confirmed nor denied by the Federal Security Service of Russia and the access to the general public is not available.

The Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center is a major relocation site for the highest level of civilian and military officials in case of national disaster, playing a major role in the continuity of the US government. It is the place where the most influential people will be flown to in case of an apocalypse and is, obviously, not open to civilians like us.

#4 Room 39 (North Korea)



Based in North Korea and also known as Bureau 39, Room 39 is a secretive organisation whose sole purpose is to find ways to obtain foreign currency for Kim Jong-un. It is often described as the kingpin of North Korea’s so-called, 'court economy' and is believed to be involved in illegal activities, such as counterfeiting $100 bills, producing controlled substances (involving the synthesis of methamphetamine, morphine-containing opium and pure opiates like heroin), and international insurance fraud. And given North Korea's reputation around the globe, everyone knows that the place is not welcoming.

#5 Club 33 (Disneyland)

  



Club 33 is a private club located in the heart of the New Orleans Square section of Disneyland. People with exclusive access can enter the club and can have resort experiences including lounges, early park admissions, and valet parking among others. It is the only place in the Disneyland that offers alcoholic beverages and the club membership costs $10,000 a year and has a $25,000 initiation fee per person.

#6 North Sentinel Island (Bay Of Bengal)



Located far into the Bay of Bengal in the Indian Ocean, the North Sentinel Island is known to be one of most isolated place on the planet. It is the home to a tribe that has been untouched by the modern world and is also prone to all the diseases it gets exposed to including common cold. The tribe is also known to be a wild one and the place, hence, is somewhere you are not allowed to go visit as per rules and regulations set by the Government.

#7 Lascaux Caves (France)




The Lascaux Caves is the setting of a complex of caves in southwestern France famous for its Palaeolithic cave paintings. They contain some of the best-known Upper Palaeolithic art and these paintings are estimated to be circa 17,300 years old. 


Art historians believe that the paintings represent a mystical ritual and can also improve future hunting endeavors. While it was open after the World War II for public visits, the Government decided to close the caves in 1963.

#8 Jiangsu National Security Education Museum (China)



For the Chinese, the museum is so sensitive that foreigners have been restricted off it. The museum apparently has a range of spy documents and gadgets dating from 1927 and finds it too sensitive for foreign eyes.
