1.US Election

The US Election process to choose the successor of US president Barack Obama was held in the month of November, 2016. American Businessman and television personality Donald Trump, a nominee of The Republic Party,beat his rival Candidate and Democrat Hillary Clinton to emerge victorious in the Election battle. 2.Panama Papers

The International Consortium of Investigation Journalists (ICIJ), a non-profit group based in the US published documents related to offshore assets of many public figures and organisation in March. It mainly contained internal documents from the Panama-based law fir Mossack Fonseca, one of the largest creators of shell companies. Some of the names to have got leaked in the Panama papers were Amitabh Bachchan,David Cameron.

3.Orlando night club shooting

A Gunmen opened fire at a gay night club in Orlando, Florida,in June.49 people were killed and 53 other were injured in the shooting making it the deadliest attack mass shooting incident in the US.The shooter,identified as Omar Mateen,was shoot dead by the police.(Reuters Photo)

5.Brazil Plane Crash

The British Aerospace 146 plane carrying the first division Chapecoense football team crashed in Colombia killing 71 passengers on board. The flight took off from Bolivia and was carrying the team to Medellin in Colombia for the 2016 Copa Sudamerica Finals.It had declared on emergency at 10 pm local time due to reported electrical failure before crashing.(AP Photo)

8.Nice Attack

On July 14,2016,a large white truck drove into a crowd of people celebrating Bastille Day in the Southern French city of Nice.The Driver of the truck also opened fire before being shot dead by the police. The attack killed 84 people and wounded several hundreds.The perpetrator was identified as Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel,a 31-year-old Tunisian man. In the days that followed,Islamic State took responsibility or the attack,reffering to Bouhlel as a "soldier" of the group without naming him.(Reuters Photo)
