Sometimes, all the mind needs is a bit of provocation to trigger revelations and memories worth holding on to.

Quite the cult classic, this film will send shivers coursing through your mind and body. Sharp and scary, Jake Gyllenhaal plays Donnie, a mysterious kid who befriends a creature in a bunny avatar who tells him that the world is coming to an end. Best part? Only Donnie can see him.

5. Eraserhead (1977)

This one is downright creepy. No one knows what’s really happening here, yet you can’t peel your eyes away from the screen. I’d say it is repulsive and compelling at the same time. Only a weird guy like Lynch could create something like this.

A car crash, subsequent memory loss and an unknown woman create the perfect dream-like plot to feed your appetite for crazy. Somehow, the woman finds a blonde (the talented Naomi Watts) who makes it their collective mission to discover her identity. So intense.

8. We Need To Talk About Kevin (2011)

Holy shit! This movie gave me the chills. The phenomenal cast’s performances are hauntingly real, leaving you transfixed with the gradual unveiling of a truly chilling end.
